Contestant Ashish Kulkarni is one of the top contenders in the race to win Indian Idol 12 trophy. He has managed to dazzle everyone with his soothing and soulful voice. He not only astonishes the judges but the guests that grace the show are also smitten by his performances. One such instance happened in the recent episode when legendary singer Kishore Kumar’s son Amit Kumar Ganguly entered the show as a guest, he was simply flabbergasted by Ashish who sang songs like 'Babu Samjhon Ishare' and 'Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai’. But why did Anu Malik catch his own ear after listening to his song?
Well, he did it simply out of happiness. The music composer was so happy with the performance, it seemed like he couldn’t believe his ears that Ashish gave such an impactful performance. A promo of the same was shared on the official handle of the channel where we also get to see Amit Da praising Ashish and called him ‘Wonderful’. In fact, in the previous episode when Anu Malik came with lyricist Manoj Muntashir, he was completely blown by his performance. When Kulkarni sang ‘Aye Bhai Zara Dekh Ke Chalo and Tumne Mujhe Dekha Hokar Meherbaan, Anu malik praised him for his singing talent and asked him for his autograph.
He said, “I am a die heart fan of you Aashish this was a rocking performance by you. I have heard you earlier also on this stage you just have an unbelievable voice. After listening to this, I want your autograph. I feel blessed that I am part of this show and getting this chance to listen to such talented voices of India.”
That’s not it, during AR Rahman’s special episode, Ashish Kulkarni even got a special gift from the music maestro. After a particularly rousing performance, Rahman signs Ashish's Taal audio cassette.
